• Day Trip to Thulakot from Pokhara Valley

  Overview

  Thulakot is a beautiful destination offering panoramic views of the surrounding lakes and the Pokhara Valley. This day hike starts from Budhibazaar and ends at Begnas Lake. Along the trail, you will visit the historical site of Lord Bhairab Temple and enjoy stunning views of Begnas, Khaste, and Phewa Lakes from the top of Thulakot Hill. The hiking route passes through Baraldanda, Rakhi, Siddhipur, Bimirapani, Arupata, and Lamasuwara.

  Hiking Itinerary

  Morning: Start from Pokhara to Budhibazaar

  • Start Time: 7:00 AM
  • Activities: Drive from Pokhara to Budhibazaar (approximately 30 minutes).

  Hike from Budhibazaar to Thulakot

  • Trek Duration: 3-4 hours
  • Route: Budhibazaar -> Baraldanda -> Rakhi -> Siddhipur -> Bimirapani -> Arupata -> Lamasuwara -> Thulakot
  • Activities: Begin the hike from Budhibazaar, passing through terraced fields and local villages. Enjoy the serene environment and views of the surrounding landscapes. Along the way, visit the historical Lord Bhairab Temple and learn about its cultural significance.

  Mid-Morning: Explore Thulakot

  • Activities: Arrive at Thulakot and explore the area. From the top of Thulakot Hill, enjoy panoramic views of Begnas Lake, Khaste Lake, and Phewa Lake. This is an excellent spot for photography and relaxation.

  Lunch Break

  • Activities: Enjoy a packed lunch or dine at a local teahouse if available, soaking in the beautiful scenery and peaceful environment.

  Afternoon: Hike from Thulakot to Begnas Lake

  • Trek Duration: 2-3 hours
  • Route: Thulakot -> Lamasuwara -> Arupata -> Bimirapani -> Siddhipur -> Rakhi -> Baraldanda -> Begnas Lake
  • Activities: Continue your hike, descending gradually towards Begnas Lake. The trail takes you through more picturesque landscapes and charming villages.

  Late Afternoon: Return to Pokhara

  • Activities: Arrive at Begnas Lake and drive back to Pokhara (approximately 45 minutes). This marks the end of the hiking trip.
