Overview
Machhapuchhre Model Trek can be done anytime throughout the year. Be mindful of the climate of Nepal. Monsoon season (late May – early September) brings lots of rain and cloudy skies. On the bright side, you will find more solitude and few trekkers on the trail. Spring and Autumn are the best times to trek here. During the Spring, there is much more color on the trail and the rhododendrons are blooming. In the Autumn months, the skies are generally clearer, showing the best mountain views. Machhapuchhre is Nepali word of “fishtail”. Machhapuchhre model trek or fishtail model trek is a very new trekking trail, recently explored by Trekking agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) in association with various trekking agents .
The route of this trek take you very close to fishtail (Macchapuchhre), known as one of sacred as well as Virgin Mountain in Nepal and so it is named as machhapuchhre model trek. The route is fully wilderness and so far very few tourists visited and fully off the beaten trekking trail of Nepal and untouched by modern development yet offer best views of many mountains including best view of fishtail. Trekkers can explore hidden secret of this area. The blending of rich cultural heritage of diverse ethnic groups like Gurung, Tamang, Magar, Damai, Kami, Sarki, Chetri, Newar, and Brahmins, etc with the eye catching views of snowcapped mountains like Mt. Mardi, Mt. Machhapuchre, and Annapurna Himalayan ranges from the close proximity. The opportunity to experience the combinations of rich flora & fauna, mountain forest, varied birds species, wild flowers, wild animals, and natural hot spring are supplementary attractions for visitors of all kinds.
After half an hour drive by Jeep or Public bus from Pokhara, Machhapuchhre Model trekking can be started immediately crossing the Mardi River, the trekkers get immediately close with mammal. So the trekkers can experience the perfect natural sites in this area. Facilities of lodges are not available and so we have to arrange trek with full of trekking gears, foods and with professional Sherpa staffs including trekking chef. We have excellent team of guide, cooks and porters to make this trek most enjoyable and interesting.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu airport (,1250m.), meet our staff then transfer to Hotel.
Day 2: Kathmandu free.
Day 3: Kathmandu - Pokhara (915m.) by tourist Bus or fly then transfer to Hotel.
Day 4: Drive to Lama Khet and trek to Riban (1,430m.). O/N at Camping.
Day 5: Riban – Lalka Danda (2,250m.)
Day 6: Lalka Danda – Khumai (3,245m.)
Day 7: Khumai – Korchon Danda (Hill - 3682m.)
Day 8: Korchon Danda – Mirsa Gaun. (Hot Spring)
Day 9: Mirsa Gaun - Kharpani then drive back to Pokhara. O/N at Hotel.
Day 10: Pokhara Sightseeing and drive or fly back to Kahtmandu .
Day 11: Transfer to airport for onward journey.
